Planning a Website
Hi Cricket,
I am starting fresh and building a brand new website. After taking your classes for several sessions, SEO and marketing are always forefront in my mind - kudos lol
If you were building a brand new site how would you approach it from an SEO standpoint? Obviously it takes a lot of time and planning to come up with the pages and content for the site. Would you approach it from the same direction that you teach in the classes, page by page, or would you would on several pages simultaneously? Is there something you do that makes the job of planning and SEO any easier?
This question has been on my mind for the past month I think - what would Cricket do?

Hi Liberty!
I invest substantial time into planning the layout and organization of the site before I even begin. By first selecting my primary niche categories and later branching out, I can get a basic site up quite rapidly.
Deciding how to organize a website can be overwhelming if you try to do too much all at once, so take a deep breath and relax. It is not a race.
It’s about building a solid online business that can be successful both now and in the future. Choose a design layout that will be easily expandable as your business grows so you don’t feel pressured to get everything up all at once. Continue to work on the site, one page at a time, making sure to focus on content development as you go.
Keep a checklist beside you to avoid the tempatation to skip steps and come back later. When it comes to effective search engine optimization, there really aren’t any short cuts. It is always a step by step process, but the rewards are well worth the time invested into doing it right the first time.
I WILL DEFINITELY SEE YOU AT THE TOP!
