Preventing Spam

Posted on: 10-23-2005 Posted in: Small Business Solutions

Hi Cricket!

I currently use Cox Cable but use my old AT&T address. McAfee SpamKiller will not work unless I use a COX address. Other than the Outlook Express blocker is there any SPAM blocker software available that will work when the primer server address is not used?

Hi Ken!

This is a difficult question for me to answer because I am adamantly against using spam blocking programs that prevent you from choosing which emails to keep and to throw away. As a small business owner, I find that the benefits of following professional Business Email Guidelines far outweigh the risk of spam.

The best method of controlling spam I have found is to set up solid methods for preventing it. Although I receive hundreds of emails daily, the percentage of spam I receive is extremely limited. You will find several techniques for preventing spam in an article I wrote concerning Website Credibility.

I WILL DEFINITELY SEE YOU AT THE TOP!
