Built In Shopping Carts
Hi, Cricket!
I’m writing concerning not my primary website, but my Craft Cave website. I have been trying to find an inexpensive web hosting package which includes a built-in shopping cart. The host I use for our primary site is great, but too expensive for my secondary, small site. I did check out 1&1 per your post to the Marketing Classroom, but I didn’t see a mention of a shopping cart. Can you recommend any inexpensive hosts I can check out?

Actually, 1and1 Hosting does have the solution you mentioned, within their eStore package. However, I do not tend to recommend built in programs, unless the site owner has a strong coding background, or is willing to pay someone for the customization needed to make the site SEO friendly.
You must carefully evaluate any program to determine if it is set up in a way that makes it possible to implement basic search engine optimization techniques. Please see Accepting Credit Card Payments Online for further information on this topic.
